My very first concert was Elton John, and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to live music. It was September 18th, 2022, the Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour (Elton John’s last tour). I was so close to the stage that I could feel the music through me. Walking into a stadium concert for the first time was insane, almost overwhelming in the best possible way. Thousands of people, all gathered for the same reason… the music.

Fun fact: I didn’t even know Elton John was British until I heard him speak on stage. That moment made me laugh at myself. Being so up close to him, especially at my first concert, was such a fun experience. I was watching a true icon of music right in front of me.

The show was everything you’d expect from Elton John: vibrant colors, dynamic lights, and nonstop energy. It ended with confetti exploding into the crowd, floating in the air while the entire stadium erupted in cheers. I remember an older couple in front of me dancing together, swinging each other around, completely lost in the moment. Everyone around me was making memories, having fun, just letting the music take over.

Since it was my first concert, I didn’t film much. The whole experience was a little overwhelming, and I wanted to soak it in. It honestly was the perfect first concert, no disappointment.
